In May, one of the kids found a nest of 5 wild baby rabbits that had just been born under the deck, where we keep our rabbits. Mama bunny was nowhere around, but the nest was just as it should be with lots of fur. Wild babies should not be cared for unless you are sure Mama is gone. We carefully used a glove and checked the babies. They all had full bellies. Mama is doing her job. We left them alone, briefly checking them every few days. Between 2 and 3 weeks, they started wandering, so we had to watch the dogs while they went outside. By 4 weeks, they had moved under the shed with the rest of the bunnies that live there.
