SchoolhouseTeachers.com is a new curriculum for us this coming school year. I joined last month for $5, to start checking out the classes and to to see what they had to offer. There are over 300 classes to choose from, and they are continuing to add classes regularly. The classes come in different formats. They might have a downloadable text, some including full novels. Some have interactive content, or self correcting assignments. Others may have audio or video components. There is a wide range of videos from Right Now Media and North American Videos, and you have access to the World Book Library.

Art, Bible, Computer and TEchnology, Drema and Speech, Electives, Foreign Language, Geography, Health and Fitness, History, Language Arts, Math, Music, Physical Education, Preschool, Science, Social Studies, Just for Parents, and Holidays and Seasonal Resource Center…
There are so many classes that I am interested in my kids taking that I don’t think that they will be able to take them all this year.
Now, just for the record, my opinion is, for my family, I am not totally convinced that this will COMPLETELY meet our needs, but it will certainly be a very good option for a less expensive choice. I am thrilled with all the exciting choices. However, I am going to stick with BJU videos for several subjects for my kids. We have used BJU for 17 years. Most years we used completely BJU (either with or without videos), and some years we have mixed in other very good curriculum (Mystery of History, Apologia, IEW…). It is hard for me to change from a good curriculum to another good curriculum, but sometimes you need a change for various reasons. So we will change a few subjects, and see how it goes with the kids.
