I went in to cut up veggies for beef stew, and realized that I never posted pictures of the new kitchen. It is a long narrow room. Ignore any mess out all the dishes that need to be done. They will get to that today sometime. This is everyday heavy use.
Back story:
We actually, bought the cabinets about a year ago. We put half down and half when we pick up. They were a very good deal on Marketplace. The only catch was that they would not be removed until early February. We agreed. February turned into March, then April….all because of Covid. We finally picked up the cabinets and proceeded with our plans.
The counter tops could not be measured until the sink was installed…the sink was on backorder and no time frame of it coming in. Because of Covid, when they make the sink, they will let us know. After several weeks calling and still no sink, one of the Lowes employees found an almost identical sink with another company. The sink was installed, now to call the countertop people.
The countertop people were behind also. They measured. It seemed like forever to get the countertops. …you guess. . . covid is the reason.
Now everything was coming together. Walls painted. Cabinets installed. Sink installed. Countertops installed. Ovens installed. Cooktop installed (Double oven and cooktop were also good finds on Marketplace) Last, tile was laid.
The kitchen is long and narrow. I think the colors and layout help with making it look a little larger.
