Muffin’s Babies

This post will be a running log of Muffin and BunBun’s babies. I will keep updating as we go.

Muffin is a California/Silverfox Doe
BunBun is a Champaign d’Argent/California Buck with Sable coloring.

3/26/22 5 chunky babies day 1
Day 3 – starting to show some color
Day 4 – They always have full bellies

I will keep adding to this post as they grow.

Special snack for nursing mama’s… rolled oats, black oil sunflower seeds, and flax seeds.
One week old today. I saw two bunnies attempting little hops.

We will be looking for their eyes to open between days 10-13.

Day 11 – eyes still closed
Day 11 – sleeping in the nest
Day 11 – pm check, eyes starting to open!
Feed me
2 weeks, 2 days.
Bunnies are mobile.
Muffin nudged them all back to the nest.
Mixed bunny #1 fawn/red color
Mixed bunny #2 gray color
Mixed bunny #3 gray/red color
Mixed bunny #4 white/gray color like a California rabbit
Mixed bunny #5 red color

2 weeks, 3 days…

4 Weeks! Sharing mom’s pellets. They also eat hay and drink water now. Mom should begin weaning this week.
