Fike Adventures

Where each day is an adventure, life is NEVER boring, and we find JOY in the little things.

This is a list of some of my favorite listening music and sermons.  What we put into our minds controls how we respond to things.

Proverbs 4:20-23

20My son, attend to my words; incline thine ear unto my sayings.

21Let them not depart from thine eyes; keep them in the midst of thine heart.

22For they are life unto those that find them, and health to all their flesh.

23Keep thy heart with all diligence; for out of it are the issues of life.

Bible Reading

https://live.bible.is/bible/ENGKJV/GEN/1  This is an incredible Bible reading app.  I downloaded the app on my phone.  It allows you to change the version of the Bible, with or with music, adjust the speed of the speaker (I slowed it down just a bit.), and it includes voices that seem to make the Bible come alive.

Radio Station

I mostly use the radio app in the van, with an adapter for the tape player attached to my phone.  It can run with the Waze app.

I know that there are other Christian radio stations and online college stations.  This one just seems to be the one that I like the best at this time.   It is encouraging and uplifting.  They also play a significant amount of Christian patriotic songs.  The speakers range from Dr. Bob Jones to current ones like Clarence Sexton and Scott Pauley.

On a laptop, click on “Ways to Listen” to download app.  You can also view programming.  On your phone, you can find the app in the app store.   It will give you the “Now playing” and “Song History”.  Also available on Alexa.

I do, at times, listened to other Christian college radios stations.

Just Sermons

https://chilhowiebaptist.church/sermons/ Cody Sturgill – I found this guy listening to Crown Radio.

https://thecrowncollege.edu/live/  Crown College Chapel live (but I usually catch it afterwards on their Facebook page.

https://hylesanderson.edu/college-chapel/  Hyles Anderson College Chapel (not usually on Facebook, need to search by sermon or speaker.)

https://scottpauley.org/broadcast/  Scott Pauley – I have heard him preach in person a few times.  He is also in Crown Radio.  This is his podcast.

I have shared some of my favorites to listen to.  We listen to Crown Radio many times throughout the week.   I usually listen to whatever services I missed from my church, and then maybe a few others during the week.  Occasionally, I will listen to one that a friend may post also. This is not for everyone.  My kids do not listen to most of the sermons that I do.  They get plenty in their Bible lessons for school.  Sometimes if I find one applicable, I will share it with them.  If your heart is full of God’s Word, there is no room for bad things.

Keep thy heart with all diligence; for out of it are the issues of life.
